Who’s that girl?

Oh, hello! I’m Kelsey Kirstin aka KK.

I use arts & craft as a way to process emotions, connect with community, and heal. I’m mostly a painter, but my medium might shift day-to-day depending on what’s around me, the materials available (let’s hear it for some upcycling!), and my energy levels. As someone with a chronic illness, I can’t always rely on feeling good, but I can adapt my practice so I can still show up in a way that brings me joy!

For nearly 20 years, I’ve taught art in schools, community spaces, and museums. I love facilitating experiences for people of all ages and abilities–from birth to 100 years old! My superpower is that I am a “charcuterie board” of a teaching artist, I’ve sampled a little bit of everything. I’ve taught photography, ceramics, screen printing, painting, weaving, and more!

Want to learn along with me?

I’d love to work with you whether it’s a craft table at a block party, a project in a second grade classroom, or a fun girl’s night in–I’m there!
